Argentina: The Federal Tax Authority changes from AFIP to ARCA

🚨 Manuel Adorni, the spokesperson for the Presidency of Argentina, has just announced that the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) is officially dissolved. In its place Milei’s government is creating an agency titled “Agency of Revenue Collection and Customs Control” (ARCA).

In Adorni’s words (translated from Spanish):

“From this day onwards, the Federal Administration of Public Revenues […] shall no longer exist. In its place we will create the Agency of Revenue Collection and Customs Control with a simplified structure. […] Throughout its existence, this agency has served political interests and, as we all know, has submitted many Argentinians to persecutions that are absolutely immoral.

This Argentina of fiscal voracity has come to an end. What is owned by each Argentinian belongs to him/her and nobody else. No State bureaucrat should have any justification to delegate to himself/herself the power to say to an Argentinian what to do with his/her property.”
